Fjord cruise & guided mountain hike to iconic Kossdalssvingane

Join us on a unique day trip that combines a scenic boat ride with an unforgettable hike to the well-known Kossdalssvingane on Osterøy.

The adventure begins with a comfortable fjord cruise aboard our modern and well-equipped boat. Sit back and relax as we glide through stunning landscapes and narrow straits, surrounded by towering mountains. Along the way, we sail through the dramatic Mostraumen strait.

We disembark in the idyllic village of Hosanger on Osterøy, where our local guide welcomes us. Together, we set off on a peaceful hike through Kossdalen – a valley rich in history and natural beauty. Our destination is the iconic Kossdalssvingane, a historic road built in the 1800s with 17 steep hairpin turns. At its steepest, the incline reaches an impressive 27%, but the reward at the top is worth every step: a spectacular view over the lush, untouched Kossdalen – dramatic, serene, and incredibly beautiful. Along the way, the guide shares fascinating local legends and stories – so keep your camera ready, as photo opportunities are plentiful.

After the hike, we return to Hosanger, where a delicious lunch awaits at Den Grøne Fabrikken. Once a furniture factory, this charming venue is now a cozy eatery and art gallery by the fjord. Enjoy a meal made from local ingredients in a relaxed atmosphere – with first-row views of the water.

Before we head back, you might have time for a refreshing swim or a visit to the authentic general store in Mjøsvågen. Then it’s time to board the boat again for a scenic return to Bergen – filled with impressions, nature experiences, and lasting memories.

This trip requires a minimum of 4 people. The trip must be booked no later than 12:00 the day before departure.

Guided hike. Remember suitable clothes, sturdy hiking shoes and a small backpack with some water and food. 

Accessibility:
The hike is suitable for prams. Dogs are not allowed on this trip.
