Start from Balestrand sailing in towards the village Fjærland. The Fjærlandsfjord is beautiful and majestic as it is surrounded by steep mountains, some still covered with snow on the peeks. A scenic and majestic fjord with Glacier-capped mountain peaks. The water has a bright green colour because of the melt water from the glaciers that flows into the fjord. A fantastic boat trip from the unique architecture village Balestrand through the beautiful fjord arm towards the Jostedalsbreen Glacier.
From Fjærland there is a bus taking you to the Norwegian Glacier Museum and further closer to the glaciers. We recommend you to spend time in Fjærland, to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and to visit The Norwegian Book town. Return to Balestrand in the afternoon by boat.
