Fjordbotn Camping

Fjordbotn Camping is idyllically located close to the fjord Stønesbotn on the northern part of Senja island. Come and spend your holiday or weekend trip in scenic surroundings, either in our cabins, or at our camping and tent site.

We are a small family business built up in 1992 by the Eriksen family. Since its establishment, Fjordbotn Camping has undergone significant renovations and expansions and is now run by the second generation Eriksen - the Eriksen brothers.

Fjordbotn Camping is an excellent starting point for exploring the Senja island with its wild and beautiful nature summer and winter. We are located close to the National Tourist Route Senja, 12 km from Botnhamn ferry quay. The entire campsite has views of the sea and mountains. Right from the campsite you can go on family-friendly hiking by foot or by ski. Within 15 minutes’ drive from the campsite starts the mountain hikes to famous Segla, Barden, Keipen and Breitinden. We can provide you with a guide with local knowledge who can adapt the trip to your skill level.

If you are looking for the Northern Lights, it is best enjoyed when you are not disturbed by the surroundings and light pollution. The area around Fjordbotn Camping is perfect for that. Snowshoeing with or without a guide can be a good alternative to skiing and is suitable for the whole family. We rent out snowshoes with poles and can provide a guide on request.

In the summer you can swim, fish from land or from our boats. We have boat rentals and bicycle rentals. "Great place with good sanitary conditions. Quiet place by the sea. We help arrange transport to and from the airport or boat terminal. Feel free to ask us also if you need help planning your holiday. Fjordbotn Camping has a total of 55 places for caravans and motorhomes, most with electricity. Separate area for tent. We also have nine cabins with bathroom and kitchen, and seven cabins without running water and a fully equipped apartment. The campsite has a new sanitary facility, communal kitchen with dining room, barbecue hut, campfire sites, kiosk and a nice fast-food kitchen that also serves tasty cakes.
