Fjorden Campinghytter (camping chalets) occupies a beautiful location right down by the fjord at Homlong in Geiranger, 2.5 kilometres from the centre of Geiranger, with a unique view over the fjord and the village.
As well as our inviting cabins (all designed by the architects Homlong and Raknestangen) we offer a large child-friendly outdoor area, and down at the floating jetty you will find boats to rent, with and without engines. Fishing is free in the fjord and there are plenty of different types of fish.
The farm Homlong is a good starting point for boat trips and walks around Geirangerfjorden. The tourist trail leads to Homlongsetra mountain farm and on to Skageflå, one of the abandoned mountain farms that have earned the Geiranger area a place on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List.
Four large cabins:
* 32 m2 , partly-covered verandalarge, living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with under floor heating, shower and toilet, bedroom with double bed sleeps two to four people, TV
* Eleven cabins, four with running water:These are old, simple but very well-maintained camping cabins with 12 m2 floor area and a covered veranda, all with a fridge and cooking area. The cabins are built in a row with brick dividing walls which provide good soundproofing.
The cabins share sanitary facilities with toilets and shower, washing up area and washing machine. The maximum distance from the cabins to the sanitary facilities is 25 m.
The cabins lie by the water's edge with a panoramic view of the fjord and village. Each cabin has a large, secluded, partly-covered veranda.
