Husky ride with Wagon

In the evenings, when temperatures start to get a bit lower, we start offering unforgettable tours with our dog teams. As we usually dont have enough snow for sledding in summer, we use our wagons to take you in between the majestic mountains.

Or, try to drive the wagon yourself! It's easy to do if you are healthy and of average fitness and with our quick 10 minute instruction you'll get the feeling of what it's like to drive a dogteam all by yourself.* The guide drives in front of you with a team of well-trained dogs so you don't have to worry about losing the way. You get plenty of opportunities to take pictures and pet the dogs.

It is possible to choose between a 1 hour tour and a 3 hour tour

Max 4 people *Fjordhusky reserves the right to decide at the start of the tour whether guests are fit enough to drive their own team or not.

KENNEL VISIT & SHORT HUSKY RIDE

Visit our world class sleddog kennel in Sogndal, Sognefjord. Our dogs work hard in the winter, so it's great to see our entire bunch of 19 dogs lying around basking in the Midnight Sun, taking some well earned rest. We welcome you to visit our friendly dogs in the summer, take a guided walk through our dog yard while our guides tell you how we train the dogs, how we feed them, breed them and about our own experiences in the some of the toughest sleddog races in the world. You're welcome to come and meet the race dogs and of course PLAY WITH THE PUPPIES as it's great for them to be familiar with many different people and prepare them for their career as the friendly, cuddly and happy huskies of Fjordhusky. You can also enjoy a short ride with the Huskies in our summer cart to give you an idea of the incredible strength of these amazing animals. Afterwards join us for some tea or coffee and cookies before we take you back to your hotel.

KENNEL VISIT

First we will go into the dogyard. You will meet all the huskies, you can pet them and take pictures. We will watch a video on dog mushing in Winter Time, we will explain about feeding, training and breeding. Last but not least, if you want you can even book your sleddog trip for an awesome return in the winter!
