The trip to Fløgstadåsen goes through changing terrain just north of Sauda center in Ryfylke.

The hike starts at the cairn close to Saudahallen in the centre of Sauda. You follow the trail through varying terrain just north of the city centre. There are many areas along the hike that have their background in the historical period of active farming; some of the names in this area come from this period.
