Forstmann Restaurant at Anno Norwegian Forest Museum

Forstmann is one of Elverum’s best-known restaurants, beautifully located with views of the Glomma River and Prestøya. The restaurant offers spacious and welcoming surroundings, with a focus on lunch and dinner, good service and a friendly atmosphere.

In keeping with the activities and exhibitions at the Norwegian Forest Museum, the menu features a varied selection of game, fish and other ingredients from nature’s own pantry. Forstmann takes pride in Norwegian food traditions and high-quality ingredients, preparing much of its food in-house using traditional methods such as curing, smoking and preserving.

Private events, conferences and catering

With beautiful views of the Glomma River, Forstmann provides an attractive setting for private events, weddings, confirmations and memorial gatherings. The venue can accommodate groups of up to 150–200 guests and can host up to six separate events at the same time.

Outside regular opening hours, private events can be booked for groups of more than 15 people.

Forstmann and the Norwegian Forest Museum also offer conference facilities for groups ranging from 2 to 180 people. A variety of facilities are available, including breakout rooms, meeting rooms and conference rooms, as well as the auditorium at the Norwegian Forest Museum.

Forstmann also provides catering, ranging from set menus and traditional cold buffets to tapas and much more. Menus can be tailored to your needs, and Forstmann can also deliver the food, provide the necessary equipment and arrange serving staff.
