Fjord Norway Gjesdal

Enjoy the quiet nature in idyllic Frafjord.
The fjord is approximately a six kilometre long inlet of the Høgsfjord, stretching from Dirdal to the small centre of Frafjord.

Similar to another famous fjord, Lysefjorden, Frafjord also has very steep mountain sides. On the northside of the fjord, the mountains stretch almost 700 metres up from the fjord. In this area you can explore Stordalsknuten with an altitude of 692 metres above sea level, Sveknuten at 764 metres above sea level and Dypingsknuten at 791 metres above sea level. By the centre of Frafjord, the river Frafjordåna leads into the fjord.
