From fjord to mountain on E-bikes - in Hellesylt

Join this tour from the fjord in Hellesylt, passing waterfalls, mountain waters and glaciers on the way. The road over Flofjellet was built in the early 1900s, but was well established before that time as both a post road and a trade road. Not least, there is a long tradition of ranching up towards the mountains.

From Vollset farm there is mainly a gravel road for the next 7 km. The first water you pass has idyllic picnic areas where it is possible to cool down in the refreshing mountain lake. After the gate at Stegholen, the path narrows and it becomes very steep down to Stigholvatnet on the right side. Here it can be good to get off the bike and walk the next 500 meters. About 2 km further you come up on Flofjellet by Ångelsvatnet. In the southwest you have a view down to Strynsvatnet and on the horizon you can see Skåla with Skålatårnet at 1843 masl. We follow the same route back, before we end at Fjord Nature basecamp.
