An eventful day tour for groups to Norway's most beautiful cultural landscape by the lake Randsfjord!

In one of Norway's most beautiful cultural landscapes, you will find everything from distinctive arts and crafts to locally produced food, cultural events and exciting story telling.

On this tour you discover Hadeland's rich and old culture, the special landscape, traditions and its history. Only an hour from Oslo, driving through the nationally selected cultural landscape is an experience in itself.

It is the sum of impressions that creates memories for life; a mix of small moments and great experiences - hidden gems and famous highlights. We have put together some of the highlights in the program for this group tour.

PROGRAM

•  Glasslåven Kunstsenter at Granavollen – (1 hour/ from NOK 2000,- per group)
Group guided tour of the beautiful art centre.

Sister Churches at Granavollen (1 hour/ NOK 80 per person)
Guided tour of the two beautiful medieval churches, led by a local guide.

Granavolden Gjæstgiveri – (NOK 350 per person)
An historical guest house packed with history, offering local food and a unique atmosphere. Located along Den Bergenske Kongevegen – the old thoroughfare used by travellers through the centuries – it first opened as a guest house in 1657, and the original building, Gregerstua, is still intact and in use. Guests are treated to a delicious 2-course lunch, incl. coffee.

Hadeland Glassverk – (2,5 hours / NOK 275 per person)
Hadeland Glassverk, located by Randsfjorden, was established in 1762, and celebrates its 260-year anniversary this year with a special Anniversary Exhibition in Galleri 1. It is the most comprehensive display of the glasswork’s history ever shown. After visiting the exhibition, we enjoy a guided tour of Glasshytta. There is also time to explore the area on your own. Hadeland Glassverk is home to some 25 glassblowers as well as 11 shops, 5 restaurants, exhibition, and art gallery. We end the day with a delicious evening meal before returning home.

Alternative activity:     Guided tour of Hadeland Folk Museum in connection with lunch at Granavolden Gjæstgiveri.
