Gallery Grindbakken is a small and exciting gallery by the water's edge at Stathelle.
The gallery is the place for filigree, crafts and other nice things. Themes, forms of expression and goals will vary from exhibition to exhibition. The gallery will also have themed evenings and small events in the new.
The gallery's premises also include a workshop for filigree silversmith Gry Grindbakken and her apprentice. Here it is really made handmade bunad and costume silver. The workshop is an open workshop where it is possible to see how bunad silver and filigree work are made - from scratch. Dawn wants to create excitement and spread knowledge about filigree to the people. There are also opportunities for colleagues and students to apply for space in the workshop for short periods.
100% handmade costume and suit silver straight from the workshop, made using old techniques and methods that have been passed down from master to master for hundreds of years.
Core hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11-16
Exhibitions also Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm.
For viewing and ordering of silverware it is possible to make a separate appointmen
