In Kåre Tveter - Gallery "Lyshuset" in Skarnes, you can see Norway's biggest collection of the great artist's work.
The collection is donated by Kåre Tveter himself, and contains approximately 150 works, mainly from the period of 1985-1998.
The gallery, which is situated in the farm house on the old farm "Korsmo Søndre", also invites you to exhibitions with respected artists.
"Kulturlåven" - together with "Silkeveven, Låvebrua" and "Låvegalleriet" - makes together with the small Gallery in "Stabburet" an exciting yard for art and culture!
"Silkeveven" - the silk loom, is the only place outside China where the old art of weaving is shown on a classical, chinese silk loom, which is four meters high, five meters long, and has 12000 threads in the warp. It is operated by two persons in a close teamwork.
"Låvegalleriet" is a hall for exhibitions, which is open for guest exhibitors, Sør-Odal art association and "Silkeveven".
The small Gallery in the old storehouse is an exhibition hall for young, local artists/designers and amateurs who will make an exhibition.
25th of January every year, Kåre Tveter's birthday is being marked in Lyshuset.
