On the other side of the fjord for the center of Volda is the village Folkestad. Here you will find Sunnmøre's answer to the Trolltunga, Galten.
From Galten you get a great view of the Dalsfjord. This is a trip that has become popular, for both the tour and the great photo you gets.
When you come by ferry from Volda, take the right after parking at the ferry dock. Drive until you see the “coop” store, then take a left and follow the road which is called "råsa" until you see the "Blåfjellsvegen" which is a toll road. Here you can park your car and start the trip. From here follow the toll road to the first marking next to the forest road, follow this forest road to the next marking. Where the road ends, one crosses a field before reaching the top of the mountain ridge. Further from here there is a marked path.
The trip is about 3km and takes about 45 minutes to walk.
