Gautefall Ski Resort is a modern and family-friendly ski destination in the heart of Telemark, Norway. Conveniently located within easy driving distance from the southern coast – from Kristiansand to Tønsberg – Gautefall offers everything you need for a perfect winter getaway, from beginner-friendly slopes to challenging runs, great food, après-ski and fun activities for all ages.

Season 2025/2026 – Opening Dates and Information

Gautefall Ski Resort is open daily during the Christmas holidays from 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, as well as during the winter holiday weeks 7, 8, and 9, and throughout the Easter holidays.
Outside these periods, the resort is open Friday to Sunday.

The Ski Resort – Slopes, Lifts and Modern Facilities

In recent years, Gautefall Ski Resort has focused on becoming a complete, family-friendly ski destination, reflected in both its facilities and atmosphere.

  • 10 slopes ranging from beginner to advanced
  • One 6-seater express chairlift, one drag lift, and two conveyor belts with a total capacity of about 4,500 people per hour
  • A state-of-the-art snowmaking system ensures excellent conditions all season long
Kids’ Areas and Family Activities

Gautefall is the ideal choice for families with children. The two conveyor belts are designed for beginners and young skiers, making it easy for kids to learn and have fun in safe surroundings.
Every week during the winter season, we also host a kids’ disco – a highlight for the little ones.

Ski Rental – Everything You Need for a Great Day on the Slopes

At Gautefall Ski Resort, you can rent everything you need for a day in the mountains:

  • Complete equipment for alpine skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country
  • Helmets, child harnesses, sleds, pulks, and ski goggles

  • Ski Lodge Gautefall – à la carte dining with favorites like the Lodge Burger and delicious local fish dishes

Après-Ski – Telemark’s Newest and Largest Après-Ski Experience

Enjoy a true Alpine atmosphere at Telemark’s largest and newest après-ski venue. With live music, a vibrant crowd, and great drinks, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes.

Ski School – Learn Alpine or Snowboard with an Instructor

At the Gautefall Ski School, you can book private lessons of 50 or 90 minutes or group lessons (min. 5 participants). We offer professional instruction in alpine skiing and snowboarding, tailored to your level.
