Gjøvik tourist office
The tourist office is located in the old waiting room. We look forward to helping you with any questions you have about our beautiful region!

We can provide tips and advice on activities, accommodation and attractions, and we also hire out bikes. The tourist office in Gjøvik is the first in the country to hire out skateboards and scooters for use in Gjøvik skate park.

We also sell gift cards, bus cards, souvenirs and maps.

The Skibladner office
At the tourist office you will also find the Skibladner office, where you can plan and book your next trip aboard Mjøsa’s white swan, which is now over 160 years old. You can also buy gift cards for friends and family. The gift cards are valid for three seasons and the Skibladner office can help tailor the trip to your wishes.

International service office
The international service office is also housed in the old train station building. The office enables apprentices to spend three months of their apprenticeship in another European country. The aim is to stimulate increased international cooperation for apprentices and apprenticeship businesses in the region.

Some of our own colleagues have taken advantage of this exciting opportunity and they urge all adventurous apprentices to contact the service office.

Gjøvik Skysstasjon travel centre – Opplandstrafikk
Gjøvik Skysstasjon is the hub for public transport in Gjøvik. The bus terminal just outside the train station has 16 bus and coach stops and is used by Opplandstrafikk’s routes, Gjøvik’s city buses, Timeekspressen’s Oslo coaches and several other coach and bus services.

Trains between Gjøvik and Oslo – NSB Gjøvikbanen
If you’re looking for the train, you’ve come to the right place. Travel in comfort on Gjøvikbanen from Oslo, through Nordmarka and all the way to Gjøvik.
The train line is very popular with commuters. Avoid the queues and travel fast to and from Oslo, even in the rush hour. Comfort and quiet carriages available.

Gjøvik Taxi
If you need a taxi in or around Gjøvik, just call 04 711

Gjøvik’s main taxi stand is also located by the old train station. Vacant taxis are parked just outside the tourist office entrance (next to bus stop 1).

The taxis play an important role in the local community. They drive patients and school children, private individuals, business people, companies – and they are happy to take you where you want to go.
