Gjestestuene event venue

Capacity of 130 in plenary, 17 minutes distance from Nationaltheatret Train Station.
Distinguished venue located at Bygdøy. Surrounded by lush nature and a view of an old farmyard and a stave church from the 1200s at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. The house was built in 1917 in the Norwegian national style.
Gjestestuene (The Guest Houses) offers venues for all types of events including meetings, conferences, dinners, kick-offs, Christmas parties, gatherings, confirmations, weddings and anniversaries.
Rooms
Four rooms are gathered under one roof, and can be booked individually or as a whole. Festsalen on the first floor can accommodate 120 seated guests. The ground floor is suitable for smaller events and meetings with 20-40 participants. In addition, the large, green courtyard with outdoor seating and a drinking pavilion can be used as an extension. This creates an extra dimension for events at Gjestestuene from early spring to late autumn. During winter, the open fireplaces are often lit for extra indoor comfort.
Food and activities
The food service is run by TG Selskapsmat and offers everything from simple meeting lunch meals to large dinners.
Events can be combined with experiences at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. Guided tours, mini concerts and folk dance are popular cultural features at Gjestestuene.
