What can you buy, how much you need to shop for, and how much will you get reimbursed?
You must shop for at least 315 NOK incl. VAT in the same store and on the same day. For food goods with VAT 15% the minimum amount is 290 NOK.
Up to 19% of the purchase amount will be reimbursed in cash or to your credit card. Goods such as vehicles, stamps and books are not applicable to Tax Free services since they do not include MVA.
The goods must be taken out of Norway within one month of the date of purchase.
How to shop Tax Free with Global Blue in Oslo
The Global Blue-affiliated stores have Tax Free forms that you can fill out, but to make it easier you can download the Global Blue app from the AppStore or Google Play and register before shopping in Oslo. This eliminates the need to fill in the forms manually every time you shop in a new store. You can also use this app globally in all stores that offers Tax Free from Global Blue.
Where do you get your VAT refund?
To get your Tax Free refund, go to a Global Blue office when leaving Norway. The offices are located at airports, border crossings and at cruise terminals. Remember that you have to present the goods for export validation.
