Even though the area is mostly quiet, there are lots of activities going on both on the water and on land. Every Wednesday the members of the association get together in teams to do necessary work.
Saturday has also become a busy day, with a small cafeteria selling coffee, waffles and other refreshments.
Gokstad Kystlag also organizes conferences, meetings and trips for other coastal associations to places like Svenner Fyr and Gokstadholmen.
The 1st floor of the northern building has room for approx. 80 persons, but the ideal is 50 persons or less depending on the purpose of the event.
The 1st floor has its own kitchen and washrooms.
The kitchen is spacious and has a combined electric/gas stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, some cooking pots and pans and lots of kitchen tools.
There are also small and large plates, soup bowls, coffee cups and glasses. Knives, forks and spoons, serving trays and coffee pots, candle holders and small vases are also at your disposal.
The ground floor of the same building has a somewhat more "masculine" maritime look. There are tables with benches and a bar. Large doors lead out to a pier with excellent view of the town's harbour area.
