Grønlund Hytter

The Sognefjord is located 80 kilometers north of Bergen. It is the deepest and one of the longest fjords in the world with a length of about 210 kilometers. Halfway along is the town of Balestrand. Here extends the fjords Esefjord, Fjærlandsfjord, Sværefjord and Vetlefjord.

The cabins are located on a broad promontory on the shores between Vetlefjord and Sværefjord, with stunning views to the south over the Vikafjell. In the summer months the cabins lie 7.00 until 23.00 in the sunshine.

From Grønlund Hytter it takes about 25 minutes by car to Balestrand Sentrum. In Balestrand you can join RIB trips with Balestrand Fjord Adventure, guided fishing trips with Balestrand Angling and DripFiske. In the center of Balestrand you will find everyday shops, cafes and restaurants. A guided cultural walk with a tour of the Kviknes Hotel, St. Olaf's Church, the city center and a visit to the Cider House is something you absolutely must take with you.
