Grønningen cabin

Grønningen is a charming log cabin nestled by the picturesque Grønningen shoreline. This cabin is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, making it an ideal base for small game hunting and various outdoor activities. The area offers several fantastic hiking opportunities, including a trek to Hermanssnasa, Verdals' second-highest mountain, towering at 1030 meters above sea level. After immersing yourself in the great outdoors, you can unwind on the cabin's tranquil terrace overlooking the water. In the vicinity of Grønningen, you'll also discover lovely sandy beaches, perfect for swimming.

The hike from Kavelbruin in Inndalen to Grønningen covers approximately 7 kilometers and takes about 1.5 hours along a well-maintained trail.

Cabin Details:
This 55-square-meter cabin was constructed in 2009 to replace an older structure. It features an integrated kitchen and living area, three bedrooms with a total of six beds, and a loft with two additional mattresses. While bedding and pillows for six people are provided, personal items such as bed linens/sleeping bags and toilet paper should be brought along. The cabin offers an outhouse for restroom facilities.

Equipped with a solar power system and lighting in all rooms, the cabin also includes a propane refrigerator and gas cooking facilities in the kitchen. Kitchen utensils are available for ten people, and a wood-burning stove in the living room provides warmth, with dry birchwood stored in the outhouse. Water can be sourced from Snasaelva. Mobile phone coverage is available approximately 100 meters east of the cabin.

Boat Included with Cabin Rental:
Your cabin rental includes access to a boat for use on Grønningen. In the boathouse, there are life jackets for four adults, while child-sized life jackets should be brought if needed. Grønningen is renowned for its high-quality fishing, and during the winter season, you'll find ice augers available in the outhouse.

Directions and Map: 
To reach the parking area, follow Fv 72 from Verdal towards Sweden and take the turnoff just before Garnes, then follow the road to the parking area at Kavelbruin. Please note that there is a toll road leading to the parking area.
