Grønsvik Coastal Fortress is located right by the traffic hub of Stokkvågen in Lurøy municipality, about a 1-hour drive north of Nesna and 2.5 hours north of Sandnessjøen. Located along road 17 (Kystriksveien).
German coastal fortress from World War II with walking trails and tunnels. Exhibitions in the museum building. The current exhibition is named "Traiter", and the exhibition is in Norwegian, English and Russian. The exhibition is about local cooperation and resistance and the Cold War and its consequences.
The museum is located on the National Tourist Route in Helgeland along Kystriksveien and has wonderful parking areas and picnic area. Absolutely beautiful view point. The bunker facility near the coastal fortress and the surrounding area is open to visitors throughout the year.
