At Raudesanden the water gets quickly warm, it is shallow and sand to play with. Raudesanden is a small beach in Grimstadvatnet and received its name after the red sand. On land there is a small lawn where you can throw out a towel or a picnic blanket.
Grimstadvatnet is a nature reserve and in the western parts of the water there is traffic ban from 1st of April until 31st of July. There are no parking spaces attached to the beach. Some cars can be placed in an unused pocket along the main road. Otherwise, it is possible to park in the parking lot where Hariedsmyrane crosses the river. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from here, along the lush Hareidselva.
Holesanden is situated in Snipsøyrdalen by Snipsøyrvatnet. Here you can find a beautiful beach. The water often gets warm during the summertime, but the beach is nice to use in all seasons. Here it is great parking options. By the beach is also Holesandhytta located, which is owned by Hareid KFUK/M. Here is a summer cafe on Sundays through the summer. There is a fire pit by the beach and by Holesandhytta.
