Grytenuten - hike
From Grytenuten in Suldal in Ryfylke you have splendid views over most of Ryfylke, Haugalandet, Sunnhordland and even to the Folgefonna glacier.
Grytenuten is a high summit to be located so far out towards the coast. Most of the hike is in open highland terrain. Due to its unique location, this hike is getting more and more popular, drawing visitors from all over the region. There are two paths to the top and the attached GPX file suggests an ascent from Dysja and descent to Vatlandsvåg. If you have only one car, you have to choose however, and the hike from Vatlandsvåg is shortest with about 12 km all in all. At the grocer Joker Vatlandsvåg, there is a toilet, guest harbour and picknick tables by the sea.
