As the only cave in Scandinavia with lighting inside, over the past century Grønligrotta has become one of Scandinavia’s most visited limestone caves. You can experience a network of passages with fantastic formations, fabolous shapes and forms that water and ice have sculptured through 700.000 years.
Grønligrotta can offer you a experience of the underground world with the most astonishing rock formations in exciting caves. Grønligrotta is one of the largest of the 200 caves in the district of Rana. The cave is 4200 metres and is located by the farm Grønlia.
Your guide will take you on a 40-50 minute round trip. On the route you can see potholes, subterranian creek, a subterranian waterfall, forms of marbles. And an unique granite rock which has been transported several kilometres by the melting water from the ice age.
The tour is suitable for the whole family.
