Guided glacier hike on Flatbreen in Fjærland with views of the Fjærlandsfjord
The Flatbreen tour is a challenging and spectacular full-day adventure for fit participants with good physical condition. The tour takes approximately 8–10 hours in total and includes more than 1,000 meters of elevation gain before reaching the glacier.
This experience combines mountain hiking and glacier walking in the breathtaking surroundings of Jostedalsbreen National Park. Starting from the parking area (parking fee) in Supphelledalen, the trail leads through lush forest landscapes, past moraines, rivers, and avalanche paths before arriving at Flatbreen – an outlet glacier of Jostedalsbreen. At the glacier, we put on glacier equipment and explore the ice together with an experienced guide.
