See the Bøyadalen Valley and the ice fall with a guide.
The Bøyadalen Valley hike gets you close to the Bøyabreen Glacier, but keeps you at a safe distance from the ice fall.
This is an easy and family friendly hike in spectacular surroundings.
The hike starts from the parking lot close to the glacier lake at 150 m.a.s.l. We walk slowly through a lush, green forrest, before entering a moraine ridge made by the glacier in "The Little Ice Age" about 250 years ago. The trail we walk on is good, but sometimes narrow and a little bit steep.
We reach the top of the ridge at 400 m.a.s.l. where we enjoy the view towards the glacier in the mountain side and the lake in the valley below. We return the same way we hiked up.
