The tour gives you an insight into how this mining society was created. There are many listed buildings here, where we'll also visit old backyards with stables and cowsheds. A guided tour of the church is included in the ticket price.

Meet up at the statue of The Miner and his Wife, next to the Tourist Information Office.
All guided tours through town and the church are with a Norwegian guide, except Monday - Saturday at 1230pm (at church at 0130pm) and Sunday at 01pm (at church at 02pm) in the period between June the 20th until August 15th.
Røros Mining Town is one of Europe's oldest wooden towns, and one of the few mining towns in the world that is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The centre of town has many listed buildings in excellent condition, where people still live and work as they've done for centuries.
