Guided tour to Himakånå - Viking Adventure

Join a guided hike to Himakånå, a spectacular viewpoint 357 metres above sea level, known for its stunning panoramic views of the fjords. This tour is always organised in small groups and begins with a comfortable minibus ride to Nedstrand. Here you'll receive a typical Norwegian and locally produced packed lunch before the walk begins. The hike is on a steep gravel road with about 2.2 kilometres to the top, and takes about an hour each way. Once you reach the top, you can enjoy the stunning views and take photos at this iconic ‘selfie’ spot. After a short break and a snack, head back to Nedstrand where the minibus is waiting.

The duration of the tour is 5 hours in total. This includes the drive to Nedstrand and the hike up to Himakånå.

The meeting point is at the Viking Adventure booth at the cruise terminal (Garpaskjærskaien on Risøy). Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, this also applies to those not visiting Haugesund by cruise. Remember to turn up at least 10 minutes before departure.

The tour is suitable for those who are in good physical shape. The guide adapts the pace to the group's level and makes sure everyone feels comfortable. Suitable for all ages. The tour is not adapted for people with reduced mobility.

When you book this tour, transport, guide, traditional Norwegian packed lunch (light lunch), bottle of water and a small backpack are included. Remember to state any food allergies or other food preferences when booking.
