Guided tour to Kringsjå and ‘The Rising Tide’ - Viking Adventure

After a 20-minute minibus ride to Steinsfjellet, the tour continues on foot to Kringsjå Farm, which offers great views, local history and a close encounter with wild sheep. For many, one of the highlights of the trip is experiencing the wild sheep that gather when the farmer calls to them. This fun and charming experience is popular with both adults and children. Apple cake and coffee are served before the tour ends with a visit to Norway's only national monument, Haraldshagen, and The Rising Tide sculptures by Jason deCaires Taylor. Kringsjå Farm is run by a local foundation and this tour helps to support the preservation of this important cultural heritage.

The duration of the tour is approximately 3 hours. This includes the transport stages, the walk to Kringsjå Gard and stops at The Rising Tide and Norway's national monument Haraldshaugen.

The tour is suitable for those who are in normal physical condition. The tour is not adapted for people with reduced mobility. The walk to Kringsjå gard takes about 15 - 20 minutes.

For this tour, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and good shoes. Feel free to bring a bottle of water on the tour.

The meeting point is at the Viking Adventure booth at the cruise terminal (Garpaskjærskaien on Risøy). Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, this meeting point also applies to those not visiting Haugesund by cruise. Remember to arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. Alternatively, you can meet at Vår Frelsers Kirke (Our Saviour's Church) in the centre of Haugesund, but this must be stated in your booking. We can also arrange other meeting points for those not travelling by cruise.

For a full refund, please cancel at least 24 hours before the start date. This experience requires a minimum number of participants. In case of cancellation due to too few participants, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

If you come to Haugesund by cruise, Viking Adventure also offers a refund if the cruise ship does not arrive at the harbour, or if the arrival/departure time changes significantly.
