July 11th, August 1st and August 8th there are opportunities to join a guided tour up to the Sun Mirror. The trip starts with a meeting with Martin Andersen - the man behind the idea of bringing the sun down to the city. You will learn about the installation and the high-tech operation of the mirrors.
This is a somewhat demanding trip with 570m increase. . The trip is 8 km and takes about 5 hours. Attendance at Rjukan Tourist Office.
The guided tour ends at Gvepseborg. Here you can choose to have lunch at Gvepseborg Panorama Cafe before taking the cable car to Krosso, then back to Rjukan. You can also walk down Ryes road instead of taking the cable car.
