Høitomt Husmannsplass, Rakkestad

Høytomt is an old homestead in Rakkestad forest. People have lived her from atleast 1749, but most likely sooner as well. The last pople to have lived there left in 1964.

Since Høitomt is one of the few remaining homesteads in Rakkestad, there has been established a union connected to it. They take care of the maintenance and arranges "A summer day at the homestead" every second year, where you can experience life at a homestead in the old days.
