Half-day trip morning: Ulefoss - Lunde - Ulefoss

If you want to experience the locks of the Telemark Canal without spending the whole day, this is the perfect tour for you.

The canal boat sails from Ulefoss Locks up through the scenic canal landscape to Lunde Lock.

Along the way, you’ll pass through the impressive Vrangfoss Locks – the largest lock system on the Telemark Canal.

Our comfortable canal bus takes you back from Lunde to Ulefoss.

Itinerary:

M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen

• 10:00 AM – Meet at Ulefoss Locks
• 10:30 AM – Departure with M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen from Ulefoss
• 12:50 PM – Arrival at Lunde Lock
• 1:40 PM – Departure by canal bus from Lunde Lock
• 1:55 PM – Arrival at Ulefoss Locks

M/S Telemarken (July 4 – August 4 only)

• 10:40 AM – Meet at Ulefoss Locks
• 11:00 AM – Departure with M/S Telemarken from Ulefoss
• 1:15 PM – Arrival at Lunde Lock
• 1:40 PM – Departure by canal bus from Lunde Lock
• 1:55 PM – Arrival at Ulefoss Locks

This tour can also be done in reverse, starting with a canal bus from Ulefoss at 12:20 PM.

Practical Information about the Canal Cruise:

Parking

Free parking is available near Ulefoss Locks, approximately 200 meters before the lock when arriving from Ulefoss town center.
The parking lot is marked with a “P” sign and the Telemark Canal symbol (a boat in a lock).

Onboard Dining

There is a restaurant onboard M/S Victoria and M/S Henrik Ibsen.
You may pre-order lunch when booking your tickets, or buy food from the onboard menu without pre-ordering.
If your group includes 10 or more people, we recommend pre-ordering meals.
It is not possible to reserve a specific table for the entire journey, and bringing your own food or drinks is not allowed.

M/S Telemarken has a café onboard, but meals cannot be pre-ordered.

Bus

A dedicated tour bus operates this route exclusively for our guests.
The bus stop is about 200 meters from Lunde Lock and about 100 meters from Ulefoss Locks.
Dogs are not allowed on board the bus, except for guide dogs.

Booking and Payment

Prices:
Adults (16+): From NOK 755 to 925 per person
Children (4–15): NOK 375 per child
Children (0–3): Free of charge

An additional fee of NOK 80 per person applies to bookings made by phone or email.

May 18 – September 7: Daily departures

Booking:
Due to high demand, we recommend booking early.
This package must be booked no later than the day before your tour.

All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.
