A camping site with a fantastic view of the sea in surroundings of natural beauty, great hiking trails, and angling possibilities all only 2 km from the centre of Haugesund.
If you are looking for a camping site that is both close to the city center, but also shielded from the traffic, you should come visit Haraldshaugen Camping.
Haraldshaugen Camping is located on the seafront where you can enjoy both morning and evening sun. Our campsite is the closest neighbor to the monument "Haraldsstøtten" which was raised in memory of Harald Hairfair (Hårfagre) gathering of Norway. The campsite is unique to the proximity to the city center, yet secluded enough to enjoy the silence.
From the campsite you have a spectacular view not only of the surrounding islands, but also of the waves breaking in from the turbulent ocean.
Krosshaugen is also located right next to Haraldshaugen Camping, it is an historical location. The stone cross was raised in honor of Harald Hairfair (Hårfagre) son, Eirik Blodaxe (Blodøks). The cross also symbolises when Norway convertet to christianity.
