Overview

The tourist information is located at Bytunet, at the north end of the pedestrian street, Haraldsgata.

Haugesund is a charming town with a lot to explore. Here you will find museums, restaurants, accommodation, hiking trails, shopping and cultural events - all within walking distance. Haugesund is the host of the annual Norwegian Film Festival and Sildajazz Haugesund Int jazz festival - both arranged in August.

In the surrounding areas one can explore idyllic islands, historic sites, beautiful beaches and learn more about the viking history - because this is the area where the viking kings had their royal seat and gathered Norway into one kingdom.
