Havila Voyages

The Havila Voyages is a Norwegian shipping company that sails the classic coastal voyage between Bergen and Kirkenes with the Norwegian coast's most environmentally friendly ships.

Havila's four new ships, Havila Capella, Havila Castor, Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux are all loaded with the world's largest battery pack. This makes it possible to sail for four hours without noise or emissions through vulnerable fjords.
The batteries are charged with clean hydropower at shore, and when the batteries are low the ship's switch to natural gas which cuts CO2 by around 25%. The hull is specially designed for maximum energy efficiency, and excess heat from cooling water and sea used for heating on board.
The onboard menu is set up with locally made dishes from local producers, and all unnecessary plastic is avoided.
The company is exceeding the authorities' requirements for cutting emission, and sets sail with zero emissions as the target.
Onboard experience
The Havila Voyage offers spacious cabins with typical Nordic décor, designed for relaxation and a good night's sleep. All cabins have free wifi, USB ports, TV and a wardrobe.
During your voyage you can enjoy a variety of Norwegian foods that are sourced from the sun-kissed mountainsides of the fjords, and the cold clean sea along one of the most unspoiled coastlines in the world. The location along the coast will determine the menu on board.
Havrand Restaurant shifts between four regional menus, changing every few days to reflect the part of the coast you are sailing in. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Havila Voyages
The Havila Voyages is part of the Havila group, dating back to the 1950s. It all started when the founder, Per Sævik, bought his first fishing boat as a teenager. From fishing and herring fishing, Havila is now a group operating in shipping technology, offshore, transport and tourism.
Havila's four ships sail north and south between Kirkenes and Bergen all year round. The voyage takes in 34 ports, with a combination of long and short stops.
