Access: Starting at Høytorp Fort - From the E18 roundabout at Momarken, drive down towards Mysen, turn left immediately after the prison (which is on the right), From Mysen, drive up Vandugbakken, turn right before the prison drive straight on and in through the gate. There is large parking on the right.
The tour goes from Høytorp Fort, through Mysen center and along the Mysen River to Susebakke. A distance of 6.5 km one way. The walk is close to the city center and you can easily get back to the city center in several parts of the trail. The walk is on pedestrian path / and tracks. It is possible for people with reduced mobility in large parts of the trail. From Høytorp Fort these must follow the road down to the city center. Others can take the path through the forest. At Høytorp Fort there is a historical tour of the fort every Sunday.
The Mysen river flows close to Mysen town from Susebakkef waterfalls in the east to "Spinnerifossen"in the west.
Along the river from Susebakke to Kloppa, about 3 km. a path along the river has been worked out and constructed. The trail is named Helsestien (healthpath) and is connected to a circular trail around Høytorp Fort. The entire route is approx. 6.5 km. This stretch is wheelchair accessible and is lit. Barbecue areas and picnic areas are found along the path. Various exercise equipment is also available for free use. Canoes and step boats are available for free lending - contact the Narves in Mysen.
