The village of Hell is situated in Stjørdal Municipality, 30 km northeast of City Trondheim in the middle of Norway.
The most famous feature in Hell is of course Hell railway station and, of course, the sign (in Norwegian) stating "Gods Expedition". Although the station now is closed, most trains stop here (on signal).
Stone Age rock carvings prove that Hell was populated approx. 5000 years ago. The population in Hell is approx. 3000.
Today, the Hell area is a busy traffic junction. Trondheim Airport Værnes, the main airport in central Norway (Trøndelag), is situated less than 1 km from Hell.
The county road 705 from Røros is connected to the E6 highway at Hell, and the junction E14 / E6 is near by. Hell is also the railway junction for the Nordland line to Northern Norway and the Meråker line which is connected to the Swedish rail network.
