Helligskogen Hostel, is located in Skibotndalen, along the E8 (Northern Lights Road). In the olden days, the hostel was an important staging post for travellers on the Northern Cap. Today guests can book a room/bed in the same house and get a breather from the every day life.
Only 11 km from the finnish border, is Helligskogen Fjellstue. The over 150 year old building offers accomodation in dorms (2 - 4 beds), a common kitchen, common room and common bathroom.

The hostel offers simple standard and you will find bunkbeds in most of the rooms.
Guests can choose between rooms of different sizes. The hostel has a common kitchen and common livingroom with a TV. After a day outside, it is possible to relax in the sauna or the outdoor whirlpool bath (costs extra)
The area surrounding Helligskogen offers hiking and fishing possibilities. For fishing remember to buy a fishingcard. The old road between Skibotn and Finland runs past Helligskogen and can be used by terrain cyclists. Wintertime you can enjoy crosscountry skiing and the kids have their own hill for sledding.
An artworkshop will eventually open in the barn and here culture- and art experiences will be possible during the year.

To the finnish border it is 11 km, to Kilpisjärvi (Finland) it is 19 km and from here it is possible to take the trip to Treriksrøysa (the border between Norway, Sweden and Finland). To Skibotn and the Lyngenfjord it is 29 km and to Tromsø 143 km.
