Herøy Brygge is located on the island Herøy off the scenic road Kystriksveien, only 2 km from the ferry dock Flostad. They offer accommodation in rooms. Some of the rooms sleeps up to 4 people.
Herøy Brygge is located on the island Herøy off the scenic road Kystriksveien, only 2 km from the ferry dock Flostad. They offer accommodation in rooms. Some of the rooms sleeps up to 4 people. Here you also find a restaurant with great views towards the mountain De Syv Søstre. Breakfast is included in the room rate. You can also choose not to have breakfast included.
The restaurant is a typical family restaurant with a great variaty to choose from. On "Todays Special" is always homecooked traditional Norwegian dinner. In addition you can have pizza, burgers etc. In the summer there is a great outdoor restaurant with the best views towards the mountain range De Syv Søstre (the seven sisters).
Nearby you will find shops, a bank, gas station and other services.
Herøy Brygge is ideal as a basecamp for exploring this part of Kystriksveien and the Helgeland coastline. On Herøy we reccomend a visit to the flower shop Etcetera, on the road towards Dønna. This shop is something out of the ordinary. Also make a visit to the Herøy rural museum, just a few hundred meters from Herøy Brygge.
The island to the north, Dønna, is connected by bridge and is well worth a visit. Mount Dønnamannen (858 above sea level) offers a great view. This is a 4-5 hour trip (it is steep and you should pay attention to the weather conditions).
Just a short ferry trip away you will find the Petter Dass Museum and the mountain range De Syv Søstre (the seven sisters). Great for those looking for a mountain top hiking trip (a bit challenging).
Herøy is ideal for cycling trips and you can rent your bike at the local tourist information on Herøy (by the ferry port). The roads are flat and going from one island after the other is really an adventure.
From Seløy on Herøy there are RIB boat trips. The two hour trip is a good way to get to know the history and way of life on the islands. During the trip you will see sea eagles - guaranteed.
