HI Ådneram Hostel is run by Stavanger Mountain Hiking Organization (Ådneram turistthytte) and by the Scout Organization (Frikvarteret).
Frikvarteret at Ådneram in Sirdal is a modern cabin, built and run by the Scout organization. The cabin has 9 rooms, 38 beds, all with private bathroom, reception, a lounge, café and the possibility to dry clothes. Breakfast is included. Sheets are available for hire. Free parking. A few minutes walk from Frikvarteret, you will find Ådneram turisthytte, a traditional Norwegian cabin with 12 room, 49 beds, all with shared bathroom. Breakfast is included and will be served at Frikvarteret, where you will also find the reception and café. Sheets are available for hire. Free parking.
Ådneram Hostel is a nice starting point for many exciting trips, for instance to Mount Kjerag (30 minutes by car) or Nilsebu. Only 1 km from the road running from Oslo to Stavanger it is a great place to stop for a night or two. Bikes, stand up paddling boards and canoes are available for rent. There is also possibilities to do rappelling and climbing for beginners close by. There is a well equipped store, Fjellbutikken, close to the hostel. We also recommend you to drive down the 27 hair needle turns to Lysebotn, check out the base jumpers and go for a boat cruise at the Lysefjord.
