At Hideaway Herdla, just outside Bergen, you can stay in luxurious fjord suites 15 meters above the sea. There are two separate suites, each accommodating two guests.
Hideaway Herdla is a unique concept where nothing has been left to chance. Poised 15 meters above the sea, these architect-designed micro cabins have been styled by leading Norwegian interior designer Halvor Bakke with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
From the balcony you look straight out to the Hjeltefjord and the Øygarden archipelago. Settle into the comfortable outdoor seating, watch the ships sailing along the fjord and enjoy fantastic sunsets.

How to get to Hideaway Herdla
By car:
Herdla Hideaway is located on the picturesque island of Herdla, at Herdleåsen 12, 5315 Herdla. The fjord suites are only a 45-minute drive from Bergen city centre. Follow the signs to Askøy. After crossing the Askøy Bridge, stay on the main road all the way to Herdla. Turn left towards Herdla Fort, then after 200 metres, turn left again and follow the road to Hideaway Herdla. Free parking is available just uphill from the fjord suites, only 15 metres from the door.
By public transport:
It only takes 1 hour 15 minutes travel to Hideaway Herdla with the busses from Skyss. Take route 400 from Bergen bus station to Ravnanger, then transfer to route 414 to Herdla and get off at the bus stop “Herdla museet.” From the bus stop, walk up Herdleåsen. After 100 metres, turn left, and after another 100 metres you’ll arrive at Hideaway Herdla.
