From Longyearbyen we take you along the beautiful coastline towards Barentsburg. On the way you'll experience majestic scenic landscapes and close to Grumant you'll observe the stunning bird cliffs with thousands of birds. We then head towards Barentsburg - where you join the excursion with a local guide, after 1h 30min in the city the time will have come for your return back to Longyearbyen.

During the summer we find our home in the Norwegian High Arctic in Spitsbergen. Where we provide daily sightseeing tours in Isfjord, one of the largest fjords in the archipelago, rich with scenic landscape: glaciers, characteristic layered and flat topped mountains, bird life and cultural remains from all of Svalbard’s historic eras.
With our comfortable high speed catamaran MV Aurora Explorer we depart daily from Longyearbyen to Barentsburg.
From Longyearbyen we follow the coast to Barentsburg, we pass the mountain Fuglefjella and Grumantbyen an abandoned Russian coal mining camp.
In Barentsburg a local guide will take you out for a walk and you will have some free time to explore the coal mining town. After 1h 30min, the time will have come for your return back to Longyearbyen.
This trip can be enjoyed either from the outer deck or from inside the vessels warm and cozy saloon, surrounded with panoramic windows. If you are interested in wild life a good idea is to bring your own binoculars.
It is strongly advised to dress in warm and windproof clothing. Wind can become stinging cold even in summer.
On board you will also find a kiosk, where you can buy something to eat or drink.
