Drive into the hospital area from the highway and follow the signs for 300 meters to the Søsterheimen.

The hike to Nordfjell can be expanded to Vardhaugselet, Vardhaugen and Mjelkhaug. Bring plenty to drink, it can be difficult to find water in dry periods.

Follow the forest road up the hillside from Søsterheimen for approx. 200 meter to the intersection. After approx. 1 km, the forest road to the left will become the path that goes to Nordefjell, via Kokkelberg. You can return the same way or take the path via Olderbotn, accessible by first following the path for approx. 500 meters from Nordefjell towards Varhaugselet.
