Recommended advice

Alternative access to the route can be by the gas station, the camping area, the Spar grocery shop, or Uskedal school. It is steep for wheelchairs and baby carriages from Kjærlandsvegen to Dønhaug. An alternative choice of route might be to turn towards Dønhaug gardsbarnehage (Farm Kindergarden) and use the road above the barn. Be cautious when crossing highway 48.

Follow the signs from the marina. This is a nice and easy hike, passing a swimming area (beach), grazing animals, and old, characteristic housing. From Dønhaug there is a wide view over the town, Storsundet, Skorpo and the Hardanger Fjord. This hike is suited for getting to know Uskedal and the surrounding area.
