Start and stopping point
The parking lot at Berhaug, to the left of the main road to Melkevik.
Drive past the traffic roundabout at Tofte and turn towards Høylandsbygd. Follow the main road past Høylandsbygd towards Melkevik. Approx. 200 meters after the intersection to Hauge school, turn left by the Radiohola parking sign and park in the parking lot. NOTE: Please park in such a way that the road can be accessed by tractor.
Information Board by the parking lot. Signs and T Markings.
Blue Moderate hike, two boots according to the DNT system.
Difference in altitude
20 – 272m AMSL to Jamburfjell. 20 – 291m AMSL round track via Ramnakulten.
2 hours round trip, Jamburfjell 3 hours round trip via Ramnakulten.
There are some wet and soft areas, use mountain boots or rubber boots. Take your time to experience the history of Radiohola. The round trip via Ramnakulten is recommended, see under "Overview".
Cross the main road from the parking lot and follow the signs towards Radiohola. From Radiohola take the path up southwest to Kolheller. There is an information board at this location. Follow the path further to where it meets the path from Hauge to Jamburfjell. As an alternative return from the top to the parking lot, you may follow the path down to Hauge instead of going via Radiohola. If you wish to extend the hike and turn it into a round trip, you can follow the path southwards to Ramnakulten. This is Halsnøy's highest point, 291m AMSL. From here you can return the same way for approx. 500 meters, and then take the right path by the sign directly back to the parking lot. See also the route description for Ramnakulten.
