Hike to Lake Myrdalsvatnet
Quality gravel road (toll road) for 5 km all the way to Lake Myrdalsvatnet. At 4 km you will pass Midtseter mountain farm which was in use until 1968.

ParkingDrive towards the Baroniet, but turn left to Kletta at the intersection before the tree-lined avenue up to the Baroniet. There is a parking lot by the stop sign at Kletta.

Recommended adviceRemember to bring your fishing gear. A fishing license is not required. You might catch small trouts for free in Myrdalstjøa. There are two good quality rowing boats for rent at Lake Myrdalsvatnet, contact the Tourist Office. The lake has an abundance of fish and a trolling trip is recommended. You should also take the opportunity to enter the beautiful beach at the end of the lake to experience the wilderness atmosphere there.
