The parking lot.

Drive past the traffic roundabout at Tofte and turn towards Høylandsbygd. The parking lot is located at the right side of the main road 100 meters past the intersection to Halsnøy Verft.

1,5 hour round trip

This is basically a nice and dry route. You may wish to visit the view point Langheller, which is 15 meters to the left where the terrain flattens towards the top.

From the parking lot, walk along the main road towards the south for approx. 200 meters. Turn right in the first intersection and follow the farm road to approx. 100 meters before the end of Skato. From here follow the path up to the left across the grassy hill. At the flat top of Svartaberg, there are some solid rest benches where you may enjoy both a picnic and a beautiful view.
