Hike to Vardhaugselet from Husnes
It is reckoned that the sturdy farmhouse walls were erected around 1860, and the mountain farm was being used until 1905. A nice walk!

OverviewFrom the path to Nordfjell, go further ahead on more flat terrain on the southern part of Svaneheia towards Vardhaugselet.
VardhaugseletIt is reckoned that the sturdy farmhouse walls were erected around 1860, and the mountain farm was being used until 1905. The restoration (2002) has been performed by "Interesselaget for Vardhaugselet" (Volunteer Organization to preserve the Vardhaugselet), and the mountain farm is now open for everyone all year round. You will find Vardhaugselet in the DNT App SjekkUt.
Recommended adviceThe trip to Vardhaugselet can be extended to Vardhaugen and Mjelkhaug. The route is also marked from the Søsterheimen, Valen hospital.
