Austafjord
Valøytind is a dramatic little peak with excellent views, perfect for
those who want to enjoy the sunset. Short (1,1 km each way) and
well-marked trail from the parking area to the top, with a shelter
halfway. At the top there is a direction dial. Dry mountain terrain
with a few small areas of marshland. Somewhat steep.
Directions:
Drive west towards Ytter-Vikna from Rørvik. Turn onto Fv509 at
Austafjord and drive until the road ends at Valøy harbour. Park here.
