This trek follows the northernmost part of the Pilgrim Paths to Stiklestad and Nidaros. The first stage starts at Gløshaug church in Gartland and continues to Grong centre (13,2 km). The first part of the trail follows the old 1820s road and passes many cultural heritage sites. The trail then goes over the somewhat challenging area of Berga/Djupdalen. The second stage of the Pilgrim Path starts in Grong centre and finishes at Heia Gjestegård (16,3 km). The trail passes Tømmeråshøla, one of Norway’s best outdoor bathing areas.
Directions: From E6 drive towards Høylandet, onto Fv 775. After 700 meters, follow signs towards Gløshaug kirke i.e. church. Park by the church.
